Printing labels as an agent

2 min read · #procurement · #agents · #labels · #printing

Where your labels are

In your organisation, open Procurement → Labels. The page Labels to print lists every product you buy for us that has a published label, with its code, its name and the company that buys it. Under each product are its labels.

You only see the products you buy for us, and only labels that are published. A label that is still being made does not appear.

Use the search box to find a product by its code or name.

Printing a label

  1. Find the product and press Print next to its label.
  2. Type the Batch code of the goods, exactly as the supplier marks the batch.
  3. Choose the Expiry date of the goods. A label without an expiry date does not ask for it.
  4. Press Open PDF. The label sheet opens in a new tab, with your batch code and expiry date on every label.
  5. Print it on the label paper at actual size (100%). Do not use "fit to page", it changes the size of the labels.

Open PDF only works once the batch code and the expiry date are filled in. The label never prints without them, so a sheet always carries the batch of the goods in front of you.

Print a new sheet for every batch. A label with the batch code of another batch is worse than no label.

When a product has no label

Above the list, the page tells you how many of the products you buy for us have no published label yet. You cannot make one yourself. Tell the buyer which product it is and when the goods will be ready, so the label is published before they are packed.

Good habits

  • Check the first label against the goods before printing the rest: product, batch code, expiry date.
  • Label every unit that needs it before the goods are handed over.
  • Report mistakes on a label to the buyer, even small ones. The label is fixed once for everybody who prints it.
